THE most fashionable piece of the day, in the late 1970's a slinky yellow Gold chain necklace really was IT! This imported Italian (more vintage style points) piece would have been made in one of the great chain making centres on the Continent. A shiny flattened open curb link in 9ct Gold, it dates from 1979, and was hallmarked in Sheffield. It is fastened with a classic 'lobster claw' clasp, which is also stamped '9kt' and 'Italy.' The chain measures a generous 27 inches, and could be worn either with or without a pendant for a bit of vintage glam.
