A rustic antique Victorian Etruscan Revival necklace of Mediterranean Coral sections interspersed with Gold beads and holding a cute little talisman in the same style, but which had a previous life as it had been adapted to this decorative use (please see the damage and repair to the reverse). Circa 1870's and using the fashion for historic styled jewels as inspiration, jewellers across the globe created pieces in imitation of ancient finds which were being displayed in museums.
