Circa 1820's, this luscious demi parure of earrings and necklace (which can be worn both with and without the pendant drop) is totally typical of the period. The fashion for Pink Topaz began when a seam of pink hued Imperial Topaz was found in Minas Gerais in 1735, and after it was discovered that the colour could be further enhanced by heating and then foiling the stones, their gorgeously warm flattering tones became a firm favourite for this type of formal parure as they glow so wonderfully against the skin.

The high relief gold work is stamped into leafesque flourishes resembling joyful posies surrounding the bright pastels of the gemstones. The 18ct gold which has been acid tested is a wonderful rich colour and has a matted finish so that the design stands out the more so. The chain between is textured with a circular motif and has a slightly darkened patina with age (although this can be brightened, we have left as is for it's new owner to decide).

The measurements are as follows; the chain length is 18 inches; the front central panel and pendant measures 3 inches top to bottom; the earrings 2.5 inches from the top of the earwire.

The whole sits resplendent in it's own fitted box, not the original but beautifully custom made.
