Gemstone Peach Tourmaline Pomegranate Tourmaline Ice Blue Spinel Blue Topaz White Topaz Marmalade Tourmaline Chrysoberyl
Qty:

A little collection of vintage Sri Lankan gemstones which we have converted in our workshop to breathe life into them again. Once part of a large mid century Silver brooch showing examples of the natural 'gravel' gemstones to be found in riverbeds etc on Ceylon as it was when under British rule, we have had our jeweller solder on rings and twisted Silver bales, each will come with a Silver chain too. Pretty colours and a lovely gift, they are quite small, from 5mm lengthwise to the largest at 8mm. Listed left to right; 1. Peach Tourmaline; 2. Pomegranate Tourmaline; 5. Ice Blue Spinel; 6. Blue Topaz; 7. White Topaz; 8. Marmalade Tourmaline; 9. Chrysoberyl.

The price is for one pendant and chain (we've had a malfunction with the listing of the variants, so please state which you'd like on the note section in your order form)

'Ceylon, now Sri Lanka, is world renowned for their gemstones. Millions upon millions or carats of gemstones have been mined over the last century in Ceylon, most famously of all are sapphires. At the time these were mined the material being brought up was exceptional. Secondary gemstones such as spinels and zircons were found as well but less desired than the cornflower royal blue sapphires they were really pushing for'.
